Industry Overview
While the dental teeth whitening industry is about twenty years old, cosmetic teeth whitening, which is performed outside the dental office has been rapidly emerging over the last three years. While a dentist is licensed to put his hands in a patient's mouth to administer a teeth whitening procedure, cosmetic teeth whitening is self-administered with the teeth whitening professional providing product education, instructions for use, tools to administer the session and the LED light for use by the customer.
Overview of Glitzz
Prior to the launch of Glitzz, the company owners learned their trade doing expos and conventions in various cities across the US. They purchased gel from companies whose products were not designed specifically for rapid teeth whitening often requiring them to do multiple sessions in order for customers to have a positive result. Sighting the success and acceptance of the concept by consumers, we set out to produce our own formula which would whiten teeth within twenty minutes at an affordable price point. After months of testing, The Glitzz formula was released second quarter of 2007 with spectacular results.
In October, 2007 the mall kiosk division was formed to capitalize on the immediate demand for the product.
